The situation in Ukraine is causing concern all over the world, especially among those who have ties to the nation. On the campus of the University of Utah we have students, faculty and staff who are either from Ukraine, or have worked or done research there. During this time various resources are available to help them with issues that may arise. The Office for Global Engagement is leading those efforts.
βThe challenge is trying to figure out how big the footprint is,β said Chief Global Officer Brian Gibson. βWe have identified students, scholars and faculty members, but we donβt know who in the community may be of Ukrainian descent or have partners who are Ukrainian. We want to reach out to anyone who may be impacted.β

The resources available cover a wide range of needs. A full list can be found below. βIf there are additional questions that need to be answered we are asking people to reach out,β said Gibson. βWe have a liaison in our office who would be happy to help.β
