Researchers take flight over Salt Lake Valley to trace ozone, urban air quality (wyomingnews.com) — Researchers from the University of Utah and several regional universities spent this summer flying over the Salt Lake Valley to measure ozone and other pollutants, aiming to better explain Salt Lake City's persistent summer smog. Their data will guide Utah policymakers on ozone plans and could shape future air-quality rules that directly affect residents' health, visibility, and outdoor activities.

Devon Dampier's 4 total TDs easily lead No. 20 Utah past Arkansas (statenews.net) — Utah football fans in Salt Lake City saw quarterback Devon Dampier account for four touchdowns in a dominant 43–10 home win over Arkansas on Saturday night. The Utes piled up 442 yards of offense, stifled the Razorbacks until late in the fourth quarter, and notched another statement victory over a Southeastern Conference opponent to move to 2–0.
