Burlington Development Review Board, Tuesday, October 6, 2026, 5:00 Pm, Public Hearing Notice (sevendaysvt.com) — Burlington's Development Review Board will hold a hybrid public hearing on October 6 to consider an appeal over an unpermitted parking area on Adams Street and a proposed new residential lot and home on East Avenue. Residents can attend at 645 Pine Street or via Zoom, and participation is required to preserve any right to appeal future decisions.

Burlington adds fencing, cameras and toilets at City Hall Park (mynbc5.com) — Burlington is rolling out new short-term safety and environmental measures at City Hall Park, including fencing, barriers, portable toilets, and mobile cameras. City officials say these steps aim to protect the park's ecology, manage vehicle access, and improve oversight while they develop longer-term responses to homelessness and public drug use downtown.

Last sunset at or later than 7 p.m. in Burlington ahead of autumnal equinox (wcax.com) — Burlington hits a seasonal milestone today with the last sunset at or after 7 p.m., signaling noticeably shorter evenings around town. As the autumnal equinox approaches next week, daylight in the Champlain Valley will keep shrinking by about three minutes a day, with the fastest losses continuing through October and early November.
