• Act 250 considering party status for Walmart project (rutlandherald.com) — Plans to move Walmart from downtown Rutland City to the former Diamond Run Mall site in Rutland Town are advancing through the Act 250 process, with a key permit hearing set for Dec. 1. Local and statewide groups are vying for party status to influence how the project addresses downtown economic impacts, potential tax gains for Rutland Town, and possible mitigation for Rutland's core business district. 
• Rutland Barracks / LSA / Negligent Operation / Request for Information (blogspot.com) — Vermont State Police from the Rutland Barracks are asking for help identifying a Honda Accord that allegedly hit several mailboxes late Saturday night near Blanchard Avenue and Franklin Street in West Rutland, then left the scene. Investigators say the 2016–2017 Accord is missing its right front inner fender liner, and any tips could lead to charges in Rutland Criminal Division.
