• Former Accomack County deputy pleads guilty to assaulting inmate (wboc.com) — A former Accomack County sheriff’s deputy received a fully suspended 90-day sentence and minimal court costs after pleading guilty to misdemeanor assault and battery on an intoxicated person in custody in Accomac. The deputy was fired the day of the October 2025 incident, and a special prosecutor from Northampton County handled the case to avoid conflicts of interest.
