• Kiss-and-ride congestion a growing safety concern at Fairfax County schools, report finds (ffxnow.com) — Annandale families should know that Annandale Terrace Elementary and Justice High are among nine Fairfax County schools flagged for urgent fixes to dangerous kiss‑and‑ride congestion and walking routes. School officials describe illegal U‑turns, mid‑street drop‑offs, and missing sidewalks, and they're weighing new traffic patterns, infrastructure upgrades, and stronger walking and busing options to keep students safer around campus.
   

• No Taste of Annandale planned for 2026 (ffxnow.com) — Annandale residents won't get a Taste of Annandale festival in 2026, as organizers have paused the popular community celebration for a year due to logistical and personal issues. The Annandale-Mason Roundtable instead plans to distribute previously raised funds to local nonprofits while exploring options to revive the event in 2027 after a highly attended 2025 festival.

  • The Fairfax Car Show was yesterday.
