School officials describe illegal U‑turns, mid‑street drop‑offs, and missing sidewalks, and they're weighing new traffic patterns, infrastructure upgrades, and stronger walking and busing options to keep students safer around campus.
   

• No Taste of Annandale planned for 2026 (ffxnow.com) — Annandale residents won't get a Taste of Annandale festival in 2026, as organizers have paused the popular community celebration for a year due to logistical and personal issues. The Annandale-Mason Roundtable instead plans to distribute previously raised funds to local nonprofits while exploring options to revive the event in 2027 after a highly attended 2025 festival.
