• Design approved for Route 7 sidewalk (annandaletoday.com) — A new VDOT-approved sidewalk design along Route 7 in nearby Bailey's Crossroads aims to make a notoriously dangerous stretch of Leesburg Pike safer for Annandale-area pedestrians and drivers. The 500-foot sidewalk, with ADA-compliant ramps and a buffer from traffic, is fully funded at $2.9 million, with construction expected to begin in early 2029.
