• Supervisors to reconsider their decision to eliminate high school crossing guards (annandaletoday.com) — After a student was hit by a car in Reston, county leaders will temporarily assign police to manage crossings at 11 high schools, including Annandale High School. The Board of Supervisors will revisit its earlier decision to cut all high school crossing guards at a Sept. 15 meeting. Residents are encouraged to share safety concerns and near-miss reports around local schools.
