• Maryland man indicted in deadly Fairfax County stabbing (wjla.com) — A Maryland man has been indicted for second-degree murder in the stabbing death of a 26-year-old woman outside the Annandale home where she worked, on the 3900 block of Terrace Drive. Fairfax County prosecutors say surveillance video, witness testimony, and blood found in a shared car helped link the suspect to the November 2025 killing, with trial set for January 11, 2027.
   

• Fairfax man works to unite Catholics and Eastern Orthodox Christians (catholicherald.com) — A Fairfax resident active at Epiphany of Our Lord Byzantine Catholic Church in Annandale is leading international efforts to bridge the 1,000-year divide between Catholics and Eastern Orthodox Christians. Through his publishing house and long-running Orientale Lumen conferences, he works closely with church leaders and believes real unity could be achieved within his lifetime, potentially by the schism's 2054 anniversary.
   

• Man pleads guilty to posing as an 'Election Security' FBI agent at Virginia polling site (wjla.com) — An Annandale man has pleaded guilty to impersonating an FBI "Election Security" agent while armed with a realistic air pistol at a Falls Church polling place during the 2024 general election. Prosecutors say he repeatedly flashed fake credentials at election officials outside Timber Lane Elementary School; he now faces up to three years in prison, with sentencing set for January 14, 2027.
