Pedestrian Killed In Little River Turnpike Crash In Annandale

A pedestrian was struck while crossing Little River Turnpike Monday night, according to Fairfax County Police.

ANNANDALE, VA — A pedestrian was killed in a crash in Annandale Tuesday night, according to Fairfax County Police.

The crash happened around 10 p.m. at Little River Turnpike and Backlick Road. Police say the pedestrian was crossing Little River Turnpike outside a crosswalk when an eastbound 2011 Toyota Corolla struck her.

The pedestrian, Choon Yoo, 77, of Annandale, was taken to the hospital and pronounced dead.

The driver remained on the scene of the crash. Police do not believe speed or alcohol contributed to the crash. Police are actively investigating.

This was the fourth pedestrian fatality in Fairfax County this year.
