2 Arlington Teens Arrested In DC For Trying To Steal Jacket: Police
Two Arlington teens were arrested in connection to the attempted robbery of a victim's jacket Tuesday at a Washington, D.C. bus stop.

WASHINGTON, DC — Officers from the Metropolitan Police Department arrested four teens, including two from Arlington, in connection with the attempted robbery of a jacket at a bus stop in Washington, D.C.
Officers responded around 3:36 p.m., on Tuesday, to the 300 block of M Street, Southwest for the the report of of an attempted robbery. The victim told officers that he was waiting at a bus stop at 4th and Maine Avenue, Southwest, when four suspects surrounded him and demanded that he hand over his jacket, according to police.
When the victim declined, one of the suspects pointed a gun at the victim, following him onto the bus. The suspects punched the victim while he was on the bus. When victim exited the bus to meet his mother, one of the suspects pointed a gun at and threatened her, according to police. The four suspects then ran off.

MPD officers located and arrested the four suspects a short time later. Police charged a 13-year-old boy from Arlington was charged with felony threats and assault with the intent to rob. Police also charged a 14-year-old boy from Arlington, a 15-year-old boy from Southeast, and a 13-year-old boy from Southwest with assault and intent to rob.
