55 New Jobs in AvePoint's Arlington Expansion
Virginia competed with Atlanta for AvePoint's new jobs, according to Gov. Terry McAuliffe.

Tech firm AvePoint will be launching a $1.5 million expansion project in Virginia, including growing its Arlington footprint with 55 new jobs.
The data management firm’s expansion also includes 100 new jobs in Richmond, according to Gov. Terry McAuliffe, who announced the company’s plans on Friday. The state successfully competed against Atlanta for the project.
“Technology development is an important component of building a new Virginia economy, and we look forward to continuing a strong corporate partnership between the Commonwealth and AvePoint,” McAuliffe said Friday.

According to the state, AvePoint helps businesses centralize and share information on-premises and in the cloud. AvePoint serves over 14,000 organizations and 3 million Office 365 users in five continents.
“In the end, Virginia clearly offers an unparalleled attractive business atmosphere with lower taxes, a lower cost of doing businesses and a highly talented labor force, the combination of which no other location suitably matched,” according to Brian Brown, AvePoint’s Global General Counsel.

The company is eligible to receive state benefits from the Virginia Enterprise Zone Program, administered by the Virginia Department of Housing and Community Development. Funding and services to support the company’s employee training activities will be provided through the Virginia Jobs Investment Program.
“AvePoint has been a longtime member of Arlington’s technology community, and we are thrilled that the company plans to grow its presence here,” said Arlington County Board Chair Libby Garvey. “Arlington’s highly-skilled workforce will be very beneficial for AvePoint as it expands, and we look forward to our continued partnership.”
