Arlington Coronavirus Update: 12 Days With No Additional Deaths
Virginia Health Department reported 14 additional cases of the new coronavirus in the Arlington Health District on Wednesday.
ARLINGTON, VA — The Virginia Department of Health reported no new deaths Wednesday in the Arlington Health District due to COVID-19, the disease associated with the new coronavirus. This is the 12th day in a row in which no new deaths were reported. The total number of COVID-19-related deaths in the Arlington Health District stands at 135.
There are 14 new cases of COVID-19 in the Arlington Health District as of Wednesday morning, bringing the total number of cases in the health district to 2,857. In the health district, there have been a total of 431 hospitalized patients to date.
As of Wednesday, there are 87,993 total cases statewide, according to data reported by the Virginia Department of Health. In Virginia, there have been 2,125 coronavirus-related deaths to date. There have been a total of 7,738 hospitalized COVID-19 patients.

There have been 17 coronavirus outbreaks in the Arlington Health District as of Wednesday, with 545 cases related to an outbreak. There have been 12 outbreaks at long-term care facilities, two outbreaks at a congregate setting and three outbreaks in health care settings in Arlington. There have been 178 reported coronavirus cases in Arlington health care workers.

On Wednesday, Virginia health officials reported 35,001 COVID-19 tests have been taken in Arlington, with a 4.0 percent positivity rate. Statewide there have been 1,175,814 COVID-19 tests taken, with a 7.3 percent positivity rate.
Globally, more than 16.7 million people have been infected by COVID-19, and over 661,000 people have died, Johns Hopkins University reported Monday morning. In the United States, more than 4.3 million people have been infected and over 149,000 people have died from COVID-19.

- 0-9: 63 cases
- 10-19: 140 cases
- 20-29: 566 cases
- 30-39: 519 cases
- 40-49: 468 cases
- 50-59: 408 cases
- 60-69: 297 cases
- 70-79: 179 cases
- 80+: 205 cases
