Arlington County Police Hang Out With Shaq
NBA legend Shaquille O'Neal was in D.C. speaking at a law enforcement event.
Arlington County Police got a chance to hang out with an NBA legend on Wednesday: Shaquille O'Neal, a basketball star who has long had close ties to law enforcement in Virginia. And the officers looked positively tiny next to the 7-foot-1-inch, 300-plus-pound Shaq, who is now an analyst on the TV program "Inside the NBA."
Shaq was speaking at an event hosted by the Foundation for Advancing Alcohol Responsibility at the Hart Senate Building in D.C.
O'Neal has been involved with police all around the country, but he made headlines in September 2006 when he took part in a raid on a home in Bedford County, Va. The local sheriff's department made him an "honorary deputy."
