ARLINGTON, VA – The Arlington Community Federal Credit Union is closing one of their branches after a staff member tested positive for COVID-19, the disease caused by the new coronavirus, the credit union announced Monday morning.

The credit union will be temporarily closing its Glebe Road Branch in order to conduct a deep cleaning. In an announcement to members, the credit union said the branch has been operating on a drive-up only basis with no direct member interaction for several weeks. Staff members have been taking extra safety measures, such as wearing gloves and masks, the credit union said.

The employee was not symptomatic when they were last at the branch and was ordered to stay home under quarantine when their exposure was discovered. Staff members who came into contact with the employee are also now in self-quarantine.
