Many Arlingtonians may remember the brightly-colored Solar Crêpes truck, which served parts of Arlington, including Ballston and Clarendon, from July 2010 until earlier this summer, when the truck made its last appearance during a Ballston Arts & Crafts Market date. Chefs and owners Danna Andrews and Camille Dierksheide prepared sweet and savory crêpes incorporating primarily local and organic ingredients.
Since the truck’s final stop earlier this summer, Dierksheide and Andrews have been involved in projects that serve as offshoots to their philosophy of providing sustainable foods, explained Dierksheide. The two are working to sell their Tuscan White Bean Hummus wholesale and continue to update their website’s blog on topics related to sustainable eating, she said. In addition, Andrews and Dierksheide recently held a happy hour in Arlington for their friends and customers.
