Arlington Hit-And-Run Victim Identified, Police Still Searching For Driver

ARLINGTON, VA — A woman killed in a hit-and-run crash on Columbia Pike has been identified as Stephanie Coulter, 55, of Arlington, according to Arlington County police.

Police said Friday that the investigation remains ongoing and that detectives are still asking for help identifying the striking vehicle involved in the fatal crash.

The crash happened at about 1:22 a.m. on Monday on Columbia Pike at South Thomas Street, according to the Arlington County Police Department. Officers were dispatched to the area for a report of a crash involving a pedestrian.

When officers arrived, they found Coulter unresponsive in the roadway with serious injuries. She was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The driver of the striking vehicle fled after the crash, according to police.

Police previously released an attempt-to-identify bulletin for a 2016 to 2019 Honda CR-V in Obsidian Blue Pearl, a dark blue color. The vehicle is missing its front grill, police said.
