Man Arrested with Samurai Sword, After Theft of iPhone 6: Police

BANK ROBBERY, 151106044, 3500 block of S. Columbia Pike. At approximately 4:05 p.m. on November 6, an unknown male subject entered a bank and handed the bank teller a note implying he had a weapon. He then stole an undisclosed amount of money from the bank and fled. The suspect is described as a black male in his forties, approximately 6’0” and weighed 200 lbs. He was wearing a white/blue long sleeve izod polo shirt, a black hat, and dark pants at the time of the incident. The investigation is ongoing.

FBI: Bank Robbery Suspect ‘Forever Loyal’ Strikes for Fifth Time

ROBBERY BY FORCE, 151106061, 3200 block of S. Columbia Pike. At approximately 8:27 p.m. on November 6, a male subject entered a T-Mobile store and stole an iPhone 6 and assaulted an employee when confronted about the theft. Officers later located the subject with a samurai type sword and arrested him on scene. Vincent Johnson, 32, of Arlington Va, was arrested and charged with robbery by force and obstruction of justice. He is being held without bond.

ROBBERY, 151108038, 2100 block of N. 15th Street. At approximately 7:00 p.m. on November 8, a 60 year-old male CVS employee was struck in the face multiple times by a male subject who was attempting to steal vitamins. Tyon Butler, 21, of no fixed address, was arrested and charged with robbery and failure to ID. He is being held without bond.

BURGLARY, 151109008, 1300 block of S. Jefferson Davis Highway. Between 10:00 p.m. on November 8 and 3:17 a.m. on November 9, an unknown subject(s) entered a hotel room and stole a MacBook laptop. There is no suspect(s) description.
