Arlington Man Who Used Bike To Flee Ballston Robbery Arrested: Police
Following a pursuit on foot, Arlington County Police arrested a man they say robbed a business near Ballston Quarter.

ARLINGTON, VA — A 34-year-old Arlington man, who attempted to feel police on a bicycle, is facing multiple charges in connection with a robbery that occurred near Ballston Quarter on Tuesday afternoon.
Officers responded around 3:20 p.m. for the report of a robbery at a business in the 700 block of N. Glebe Road. A preliminary investigation revealed that a man entered the business, concealed items in a basket, and tried to leave without paying, according to police. Two employees confronted the man, but he pushed one of them to the ground before hopping on a bike and fleeing the area. The employee who was shoved received minor injuries.
After a lookout was broadcast for the suspect, officers in the N. Carlin Springs area saw him peddling by and tried to stop the man. The man refused to stop but eventually got off the bike and started running, according to police

Following a pursuit on foot, officers arrested the man, whom they identified as Deonte Driver of Arlington, and charged him for robbery, possession of burglarious tools, obstruction of justice, and identity theft. Driver was then held without bond.
