Arlington Restaurant Named a Top OpenTable Brunch Spot

OpenTable named this Arlington restaurant one of the best brunch spots in America for 2017.

ARLINGTON, VA -- An Arlington restaurant is among the top 100 brunch spots in the U.S., according to OpenTable. Freddie's Beach Bar & Restaurant made the cut for the 2017 list, released this week before Mother's Day.

More than 24,000 restaurants in the U.S. were considered for the list. The online reservation hub sifted through more than 10 million reviews from its users to determine the best restaurants for a midday/mid-morning meal. OpenTable then ranked the restaurants by overall score and those with "great for brunch" checked off as a descriptor.

"Brunch has become as synonymous with Mother's Day celebrations as it has the weekend, and the repertoire of dishes associated with the midday meal has expanded exponentially," OpenTable Chief Dining Officer Caroline Potter said in a statement with the list's release. "No longer an after-thought, this meal at these winning restaurants has become a showcase for culinary diversity..."
