Arlington Woman Cited For Carjacking In Bailey's Crossroads: Police
An woman who police say carjacked a vehicle in Bailey's Crossroads was arrested early Thursday in Arlington County, reports say.

BAILEY'S CROSSROADS, VA — Fairfax County police arrested a 28-year-old woman in connection to a carjacking that occurred early Thursday morning in Bailey's Crossroads, according to authorities.
Just before 2 a.m., officers responded for the report of a carjacking in the 5900 block of Seminary Road.
"The victim reported that a woman approached his vehicle and asked for a ride," according to the incident report. "When the victim refused, the suspect opened the door and pulled the victim out of the vehicle. The suspect then fled in the victim’s vehicle."

In response to the report, Fairfax 1 helicopter, the Real Time Crime Center, and additional patrol units responded to help locate the suspect. A lookout was also broadcast to neighboring jurisdictions.
Officers from the Arlington County Police Department located the vehicle in their jurisdiction around 2:49 a.m. and took the suspect into custody, according to police.

Detectives from FCPD's Major Crimes Bureau identified the suspect as 28-year-old Peggy Li’Nae Sykes of Arlington. She was taken to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center, where she was charged with carjacking. She was then held without bond.
