Arlington Woman Who Fled Ashton Heights Crash Faces Felony Hit And Run Charge: Police
A woman who fled the scene of a pedestrian-involved crash on Sunday morning turned herself in to police later in the day, authorities say.

ARLINGTON, VA — A 25-year-old Arlington woman surrendered to police on Sunday after she fled the scene of a pedestrian-involved crash earlier in the day in the Ashton Heights area, according to authorities.
Public safety personnel with the county's police and fire departments responded just after 12:30 a.m. to North Irving Street at Arlington Boulevard to investigate the report of a pedestrian-involved crash, according to the incident report.
"Upon arrival, the pedestrian, an adult male, was located in the roadway suffering critical injuries," the report says. "Medics treated him on scene before transporting him to an area hospital where he remains in critical but stable condition."

Investigators determined that the suspect was driving east on Arlington Boulevard when she struck a pedestrian and fled the scene in her vehicle, according to police. Around 11 a.m., the suspect, identified as Valeria Galdo Camacho of Arlington, turned herself in to police at the Magistrate's Office.
