Restaurateur Ivan Ircanin will open Ambar at 2901 Wilson Boulevard on Oct. 3. He also has locations on Capitol Hill and in Belgrade, Serbia.

"Serbian natives Ivan Iricanin and Mihailo Subotic developed the menu with the help of Executive Chef Chris Hawkins who found inspiration from his recent travels throughout the Balkan region," the statement adds. "Hawkins has served as chef de cuisine of the original Capitol Hill location since February 2015, and has traveled to Serbia multiple times, most recently in July 2016."
The restaurant will serve breakfast, lunch and dinner, and will add brunch at a later date. The restaurant won't be a carbon copy of the Capitol Hill location: its menu will be 50 percent different, the statement claims.

Iricanin's wife, Nya Gill, designed the Clarendon restaurant.
