BalletNova Presents 'The Nutcracker Tea' at Ritz-Carlton
Two performances are scheduled for Sunday, Dec. 13 at the Ritz-Carlton Pentagon City in Arlington.
ARLINGTON, VA — BalletNova presents a very special holiday event, The Nutcracker Tea at the Ritz-Carlton, Pentagon City (1250 S Hayes St, Arlington, VA 22202) on Sunday, Dec. 13, at 10:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. in the Ballroom.
Guests—in their holiday best—enjoy afternoon tea, Ritz style, along with a mini-performance of The Nutcracker by BalletNova’s dancers. Patrons have an exclusive opportunity to meet the dancers and take photographs with the Sugar Plum Fairy. Kid’s crafts and raffle prizes round out this special occasion.
Proceeds from the event support the BalletNova Free Ticket and Scholarship programs which help students and families in-need engage in the arts.

Over 400 free performance tickets are shared with students from Fairfax, Arlington, Falls Church and Alexandria public schools as well as organizations such as Shelter House, Doorways for Women, Boys and Girls Clubs, and Borromeo Housing.
Additionally, BalletNova awards over $48,000 per year in tuition assistance to deserving young dancers.

Reserved Tables of 10:
- Sponsor Tables - $1,000 ($455 is tax deductible) - includes priority seating, a raffle ticket and exclusive Nutcracker cookie for each guest
- Patron Tables - $800 ($285 is tax deductible) includes priority seating and a raffle ticket for each guest
“This elegant production and accomplished cast will capture our imaginations as only the magic of ballet can,” commented Laveen Naidu, BalletNova’s new artistic director, in a news release announcing the event.
