Museum Exhibit: First on the Scene: Arlington Responds to September 11

There’s always something new to discover at the Arlington Historical Museum.
-- First on the Scene: Remembering Arlington’s Response to 9/11, commemorating the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001, and highlighting the extraordinary response of Arlington’s firefighters, emergency personnel, and other first responders in the critical moments and days following the attack on the Pentagon.

Current temporary exhibits at the Arlington Historical Museum include:
-- Who Decides? Governing Arlington Through Time (through Sep 15)
-- First in Frame: Arlington Early Residents (through Sep 28)
-- Mapping the Federal City, 1791: Arlington in the Original District (through Sep 28)
-- Arlington Changemakers: celebrating a new group of people whose leadership, courage, creativity, and service have helped shape Arlington over the past 250 years (through Dec)

Visitors can ALSO experience the new Dr. Gerald K. Haines Schoolroom Exhibit, an immersive look at the history of education in Arlington Public Schools and the students, teachers, and innovations that have shaped learning across the county.
