Car Burglars Caught Red-Handed In Arlington: Police
A man noticed two people inside of his car and came out of his house to confront them, police say.

ARLINGTON, VA -- Police say they caught three teenagers shortly after they were spotted in the act of burglarizing cars in the Penrose neighborhood in Arlington early Tuesday morning.
Police were called to the 200 block of S. Adams Street at around 12:30 a.m. to a report of a vehicle tampering in progress, according to a report from the Arlington County Police Department.
"Upon arrival, it was determined that the victim was inside his residence when he observed two suspects inside his vehicle," the report states. "When the victim exited his residence and approached the vehicle, he observed three suspects flee on foot. A lookout was broadcast based upon the description provided by the victim and responding officers located the three individuals in the area matching the suspect descriptions."

Police determined that the teens entered three additional vehicles in the area and stole valuables, the report adds.
Police charged 18-year-old Malique Harden of Suitland, Md., with grand larceny, two counts of tampering with a vehicle, two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, and possession of marijuana. Police are seeking petitions to place charges against two juvenile suspects for tampering with a vehicle, possession of marijuana, and grand larceny.
