Carjacking Suspect Turns Himself In To Arlington Police
Arlington County Police arrested a Woodbridge man in connection with a carjacking that occurred early Sunday in the Glencarlyn area.

ARLINGTON, VA — Detectives from Arlington County Police's Homicide/Robbery Unit charged 27-year-old Christian Espinoza of Woodbridge with carjacking in connection with an incident that occurred early Sunday morning in the Glencarlyn area, according to a police release.
Officers responded around 12:45 a.m., for the report of a carjacking in the unit block of S. Carlin Springs Road. A female witness told police she was inside a convenience store when Espinoza grabbed the items she had placed on the counter and said he was paying for them. Police say he then left the store without paying.
Approaching the female witness' car, Espinoza tried to hand the male occupant of the car a drink. When the occupant of the car declined, police say Espinoza punched him on the side of the head, opened the car door, pulled him out of the vehicle, and then began assaulting him.

Espinoza turned himself in to ACPD around 12:40 p.m., on Sunday. He had called the victim earlier and told them where they could find the vehicle. Police later recovered the vehicle at the intersection of 6th Road S. and 6th Street S. in Fairfax County. Espinoza is being held on a secured bond.
