Complaint About Filming Leads to Violent Attack on Columbia Pike

A man was jumped by a group of people when he protested being filmed.

A man is recovering from injuries after an ugly incident last week when a simple request for someone to stop filming resulted in a vicious attack more than five hours later.

The incident began at around 8:40 p.m. April 7 in the 2900 block of Columbia Pike when one of the suspects in the attack began filming the victim, said police spokesperson Ashley Savage

He asked the person to stop filming, "which started the dispute," Savage said.
