Coronavirus: Arlington Opens 1-Day PPE Donation Station
Arlington will be accepting donations of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), cleaning supplies and other items on Friday.
ARLINGTON, VA — Arlington County will be operating a one-day drive-thru station Friday for people to donate unused, unopened containers of essential Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), cleaning supplies, and certain food to help out essential employees, nonprofits and community organizations participating in the response to the new coronavirus, also known as COVID.
The drive-thru donation station will be open Friday, April 3, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the Central Library parking lot on 10th Street North. This activity conforms with the directives of Gov. Northam's stay-at-home order. However, people who are ill are asked not to come and donate supplies at this event.
Requested items include:

- Nitrile or vinyl examination gloves
- N95 or KN95 masks
- Surgical masks
- Protective surgical gowns
- Homemade masks
- Cleaning products and supplies
- Non-perishable food items, especially heart-healthy items low in sodium or sugar
No other donations will be accepted.
Those wishing to make donations must stay in their cars until they arrive at the unloading station. Donors will then place their items onto a cart and return to their cars while observing proper social distancing. Donors must maintain a distance of six feet from each other in order to comply with Gov. Northam's stay-at-home order. A separate drop-off line will be available for walkup donations and donations from bicycles.
