On the Road

As of 6 a.m., police continue to investigate a crash involving a pedestrian on Rhode Island Ave. in Northwest D.C., near 7th St. NW. All lanes are blocked for the crash investigation.

At 6:38 p.m., a crash was reported on Amherst Ave. between Commerce St. and Bland St., just north of Old Keene Mill Rd., in Springfield. Lanes in both directions are closed.

At 6:56 a.m., a disabled vehicle was reported on the northbound side of I-95 at mile marker 164.2 near the Lorton Rd. exit in Fairfax County. No lanes closed.

Shortly before 6 a.m., a crash was reported in the northbound local lanes of I-270 before MD-124/Montgomery Village Ave (#11). Traffic getting through in right lane.

At 7:15 a.m., a disabled vehicle was reported on Suitland Pkwy on the inbound side before Stanton Rd in Southeast D.C. Right lane is getting by.

At 6:34 a.m., a disabled vehicle was reported on the eastbound side of I-66 at mile marker 47.0 (0.1 mile west of VA-234, Exit47) in Prince William County. No lanes were closed.

Weather

Forecasters are calling for a chance of thunderstorms Friday through Sunday. On Friday, isolated showers and thunderstorms are forecast after 2 p.m., with a high near 85. Overnight, temperatures are expected to drop to about 69.

On Saturday, the chance of thunderstorms increases slightly, with a high of 86. Sunday is expected to be another hot day, with a high near 88 and a chance of thunderstorms, mainly after 2 p.m.
