On the Road
At 7:16 a.m., a crash on the inner loop of I-495/Beltway at VA-267/Dulles Toll Rd. (#45) had been cleared. The crash had blocked the two left lanes.
Debris was reported on the I-495/Beltway thru lanes on the inner loop before the Woodrow Wilson Bridge in Prince George's County at 7:15 a.m. The left side was blocked.

A crash was reported at 7:33 a.m. on southbound I-95 near VA-619/Triangle (#150). Drivers should proceed with caution.
At 7:36 a.m., a disabled tractor trailer was reported on the westbound side of I-66 at mile marker 42.3, 1 mile west of US-29S Exit43A, in Prince William Co. No lanes were closed.
At 7:09 a.m., a crash was reported at MD-704/Martin Luther King Jr Hwy. near Hill Rd. in Prince George's County.
At 6:53 a.m., a crash was reported on Eastern Ave. at Sargent Rd. in Maryland.
All travel lanes on River Road between Ridgefield Road and Little Falls Parkway in Bethesda, Maryland, reopened around 8 p.m. Thursday after an investigation into a bicyclist who was struck and killed by a truck.
Looking ahead to Monday, the Virginia Department of Transportation said the southbound I-395 general purpose lanes will have lane closures at Edsall Road (Route 648), weather permitting, Monday night, Aug. 29 and Tuesday night, Aug. 30 for bridge painting work. Each night, the left two lanes of southbound I-395 at Edsall Road will be closed at 10 p.m., followed by the left three lanes at 11 p.m. Total stoppages lasting up to 20 minutes each are scheduled to occur between midnight and 4 a.m. All lanes will reopen by 5 a.m. All Edsall Road interchange (Exit 2) ramps will remain open during the bridge painting work, VDOT said.
On the Rails
At about 11 p.m. Thursday, Metro's Gallery Place 7th & H St. entrance was closed due to a police investigation. The 9th & G St. & 7th & F St. entrances remained open, Metro said.
Weather
The morning should be dry, followed by a slight chance of showers between noon and 2 p.m., then a greater chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2 p.m. The high temperature will be near 90 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. A similar chance of showers is in the forecast for Saturday, followed by a mostly sunny day on Sunday, with a high near 90.
