Focus Gallery: “Watercolor Excellence: PVW at 40 Years”

Arlington, VA - In the Focus Gallery during December, Gallery Underground will exhibit 100+ small works by 50 members of Potomac Valley Watercolorists (PVW), celebrating 40 years of exceptional watercolor art. This exciting show wraps up PVW’s 40th year anniversary celebration and will feature paintings by some of the premier water media artists in the region.

PVW is a juried art organization focused on high-quality technical and creative talent, and is comprised of outstanding artists in Virginia, Maryland, and the District of Columbia. Members include many watercolor instructors and artists who exhibit at prominent galleries, museums, and nationally acclaimed shows. Some members serve as exhibit jurors and others give demonstrations and programs for art and community groups.

Main Gallery: December Small Works Members Show

During December, Gallery Underground also features a new exhibit of members’ work in the Main Gallery, including sculpture, glass, ceramics, watercolor, oil, acrylic, jewelry and mixed media. Wonderful for holiday shopping!

Located in the Crystal City Shops at 2100 Crystal Drive, Arlington, VA 22202, this visual arts venue showcases the work of established and emerging regional artists. It is sponsored by the Arlington Artists Alliance (AAA), in partnership with the Crystal City Business Improvement District (BID) and Vornado/Charles E. Smith.

Gallery Hours: M-F 10am - 6pm, Saturday 10am - 2pm. Metro accessible. Parking is available in metered spots on nearby streets and in public garages, which are free all day Saturdays and after 4pm on weekdays.
