Designer Denim, Personal Service at Discount Prices

Most women go crazy for designer jeans and even crazier for designer jeans at discount prices. Enter Jan Forman, The Jeans Whisperer. 

The Great Falls resident opened her Clarendon denim boutique, , two weeks ago after spending seven years on the road selling the discount jeans at sorority charity events and vendor shows. 

Forman said she always knew she had a gift for fitting people, but she got her name "The Jeans Whisperer" from a customer at one of the shows.

"The woman told me she only had a few minutes and was never able to find a pair of jeans to fit her, I gave her a few pairs of jeans to try on and one was perfect and she said, 'you're like the jeans whisperer!'" Forman said. "And I said, 'I think you just gave me my name!' "

Forman said that she decided to open up more permanent shop after she was experiencing back pain and her doctor told her she had to stop lugging around all her jeans from place to place, or hire a really strong partner. 

She shares her space with the , and subleases from the owner who she met at a shoe repair store in January. "It all fell into place really well," Forman said. 

The Jeans Whisperer carries high-end designers such as 7 For All Mankind, William Rast, Rock and Republic, True Religion and many other designers all for under $99. 

She buys the jeans on closeout from department stores, similar to how T.J. Maxx and Loehmann's get theirs. But what sets The Jeans Whisperer apart from big department stores is her personal service and eye for fitting all women in the perfect pair of jeans.

In addition to designer jeans, The Jeans Whisperer also carries jackets, tops, bags and Onesole shoes.
