Driver Shoots Into Car On Richmond Highway After Earlier Collision
Arlington County Police detectives are investigating a shooting incident that occurred Wednesday afternoon in Crystal City.

ARLINGTON, VA — Detectives from the Arlington Police Department's Homicide/Robbery Unit are investigating a shooting that took place Wednesday afternoon in Crystal City.
Officers responded around 2:06 p.m. to the area of 33rd Street S. and Richmond Highway for the report of a shooting. Investigators determined that the victim was driving southbound in the 2600 block of Richmond Highway when another driver pulled up next to him, displayed a firearm and shot into the victim's car, according to police. The suspect then fled north on Richmond Highway.
ACPD broadcast a lookout but failed to locate the suspect, whom police described as a thin Black man about 5-foot-8, with short dreadlocks. He was driving a blue sedan.

The victim told police that he and the suspect had been involved in a traffic collision near Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport. Although there was minor damage, no injuries were reported.
