Drunk Man Tries to Destroy 9/11 Memorial in Arlington: Police
Not long after the Sept. 11 service in Arlington, a man started brazenly picking flowers off the memorial, police say.

ARLINGTON, VA — A man has been arrested after police say he tried to destroy a 9/11 Memorial wreath used during Arlington County's September 11 Observance on Sunday.
At around 11:16 a.m. on Sunday, not long after memorial ceremonies in Arlington commemorating the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks concluded, police responded to the 1500 block of North Courthouse Road "to the report of a subject destroying the 9/11 Memorial Wreath used during the County's September 11 Observance," according to a report from the Arlington County Police Department.
"Upon arrival, officers observed the subject removing flowers from the wreath and discarding petals on the sidewalk," the report adds.

Police arrested 51-year-old Charles Harris on charges of injuring a memorial and drunk in public. He is currently being held on a $1,000 secured bond.
