Falls Church Man Arrested On Abduction Charge In Arlington: Police

An Arlington woman woke up in her bed early Thursday morning to find a man pressing down on her shoulders and telling her to remain silent.

ARLINGTON, VA — An Arlington woman woke up in the middle of the night to find a man pressing down on her shoulders and telling her to remain silent, according to the Arlington County Police Department.

Shortly before 2 a.m. Thursday, the suspect entered a residence in the 1100 block of S. Thomas Street in Arlington. The man then entered the victim’s bedroom and held her down, according to police.

The victim yelled, and the suspect fled the scene, police said.

Arlington County Police found the suspect, Pedro Gomez Lopez, 18, of Falls Church, in the area of Columbia Pike and S. Frederick Street shortly after the incident was called into police Thursday morning.

Lopez was arrested on charges of abduction, burglary and public intoxication. He was held in the Arlington County jail on no bond, police said.
