'Game of Thrones' Tribute Beer Now Available at Crystal City Wine Shop
Ommegang's Iron Throne Blonde Ale is available in a limited supply at the Crystal City Wine shop.

Drink like a Lannister with Ommegang's Iron Throne Blonde Ale, a "Game of Thrones" tribute beer available in limited quantities at the Crystal City Wine Shop.
The store reported that it would have the beer in stock as of Thursday morning via an email to frequent customers. Two cases were ordered initially, and some customers had pre-ordered their stash.
The beer was in stock as of late Saturday night.

"I'm a fan of the show, so I heard about it and we put in an order to our distributors," said Christina Simms, general manager. "Knowing that it was Ommegang producing it made ordering it a no-brainer."
The Iron Throne Ale was made in partnership with the HBO series.

According to the New York-based brewer’s website, the beer is “brewed with a robust amount of pils, honey mal, aroma malts, and red wheat.”
“With a Lannister currently on the throne, it made sense to do a delicate, but piercing Golden Blonde Ale with Noble hops,” Phil Leinhart, brewmaster at Brewery Ommegang, stated in a news release.
Additional beers based on the series will be launched later this year.
"I'd like to have a bottle myself, but I'd rather save it for the customers," Simms said.
The Crystal City wine shop is open from noon to 8 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays, from noon to 9 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, and from noon to 6 p.m. on Sundays at 401 12th St. S., Suite 4, in Crystal City.
