ARLINGTON, VA — Arlington County police arrested a Georgia man early Friday morning for biting a police officer, according to the weekly crime report.

Officers responded around 12:15 a.m. on a report of a man acting disorderly at a business in the 6000 block of Wilson Boulevard. They learned that after the suspect had entered the business, he began acting erratically. The man attempted to take merchandise and tried to enter the back area of the business, according to police.

The officers determined the man had been involved in two previous calls for service in the area that evening. As they tried to take him into custody, the man resisted and bit one of the officers, police said. The officer was not injured.
