ARLINGTON, VA — The Homicide/Robbery Unit of the Arlington County Police Department is investigating a shorts fired incident that occurred early Sunday morning in the Green Valley neighborhood, according to a police release.

Officers responded around 4:44 a.m., for the report of the sound of shots being fired in the 3500 block of 22nd Street S.

After making contact with the victim who had reported hearing the shots, they found that a glass door of her residence in the 3200 block of 24th Street S. had been shattered. A bullet hole could also be seen in the glass.

Searching the area, police found another shattered window at a nearby construction site. No one was reported injured and police have no suspects at this time. This remains an active investigation.
