Scene Cleared After Hazmat Incident in Fort Myer
Firefighters said the incident was caused by radio batteries overheating.

ARLINGTON, VA — Firefighters have cleared the scene of a hazmat incident in Fort Myer, according to the Arlington County Fire Department.
One building was evacuated and no patients were transported. The incident happened at the 400 block of Sheridan Avenue Friday morning.
Firefighters later cleared the scene and indicated that there was no threat.

"Update on hazmat: odor was from overheated radio batteries, units ventilated the building and will clear when cleaned up," the fire department tweeted at 1:07 p.m.
