Hit-and-Run Arrest After Two Injured in Arlington Incident
One victim is still in critical condition, according to Arlington County Police.

The Arlington County Police Department has arrested the suspect in a Tuesday hit and run incident that injured two people, including serious injuries for a local car dealer.
Alexandra Mendez, 39, of Fairfax, is charged with aggravated malicious wounding, malicious wounding, two counts of hit & run and driving on a suspended license.

Late Tuesday afternoon, police responded to MK Auto Sales and Service in the 3600 block of Columbia Pike regarding a man struck by a car in a parking lot.
Witnesses attempted to prevent the suspect from driving away from the scene as the victim lay on the ground in front of her Toyota Highlander, according to an Arlington Police statement. Mendez allegedly drove over the victim and fled the scene.

The victim, 40-year-old Noormustafa Shaikh, of Stafford is in critical condition, according to WTOP.
Mendez also allegedly ran over the foot of another person in her attempt to leave the parking lot, according to WJLA.
Mendez was arrested early Wednesday morning. She is being held without bond at the Arlington County Detention Facility. The vehicle involved was found outside of the Mendez home, according to police.
