In-Home Music School Piano & More Celebrates 10 Years with Live Band Student Concert in Northern Virginia

ARLINGTON, VA — What started as a small in-home music lesson studio has grown into a trusted part of the Northern Virginia community, and this month, Piano & More celebrated its 10-year anniversary in a way that families won’t soon forget.

On April 19, the studio hosted a Live Band Student Concert, a one-of-a-kind event where students performed on stage backed by a real band. Unlike a traditional recital, this concert gave students the opportunity to experience what it feels like to perform in a live music setting, complete with stage lighting, an audience, and the energy of a full band behind them.

The evening began with an opening speech from CEO and Founder Nicole Kovar, followed by a short video reflecting on the studio’s 10-year journey serving families across Arlington, Falls Church, and McLean.

The highlight of the night featured 14 student performers, each taking the stage for their own set, supported by live musicians. For many students, this was their first time performing in this type of environment, transforming the experience from a standard recital into something far more exciting, immersive, and confidence-building.

The concert concluded with a live band finale by Twin Brooks, bringing the night to an energetic close. Guests also enjoyed a raffle and a surprise appearance from a Taylor Swift look-alike, adding even more excitement for the students and families in attendance.

What made the night especially meaningful was not just how unique the event was, but how much fun and energy filled the room. Students were smiling, families were engaged, and the atmosphere felt more like a real concert than a formal recital.
