How Can You Stay Safe on Metro?
At free seminar Wednesday night, residents can talk to subway system's safety experts.

Learn how you can be better prepared for emergencies at the Metro Safety and Preparedness Seminar. Arlington’s Emergency Preparedness Advisory Commission (EPAC) is hosting the seminar at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA) Conference Center, 4301 Wilson Blvd., near Ballston Common Mall.
The seminar is free and open to the public. Registration is not required.

The seminar is part of Arlington County’s ongoing commitment to ensure all residents are better prepared, especially when traveling on our transportation systems.
A panel of experts from the Washington Metropolitan Transportation Authority (WMATA) Office of Emergency Management; the Arlington County Fire Department; the county’s Office of Emergency Management and Arlington County Transit (ART), the County’s bus system, will talk about how Arlington public safety officials work with WMATA, the operator of Metro, to prepare and respond to incidents and special events while using Metro, and talk about emergency preparedness while riding Metro.
