Judge Denies Bond for Arlington Man Accused of Killing Wife: Report

An Arlington man charged in the murder of his estranged wife slashed her 14 times and asked a friend to help kill her, WUSA-9 reports.

Arlington County Commonwealth’s Attorney Theophani Stamos revealed the information Monday during a bond hearing, the TV station reported. The judge denied bond.
David Black was arrested Oct. 30, after a special grand jury issued an indictment. The indictment and subsequent bench warrant charged him with one count of first degree murder and one count of burglary while armed with the intent to commit a felony, according to police.

Bonnie Black was found dead at her Aurora Highlands neighborhood home on April 17, when a neighbor called police that morning after seeing he young children wandering around outside. The home is located in the 1100 block of 18th Street South in Arlington. David Black lived nearby.
Black’s trial is scheduled for Feb. 29.
