July 4th Fun Planned at Long Bridge Park in Arlington
You'll be able to view the D.C. fireworks from the park.

Looking to start planning your 4th of July fun? In Arlington, you can make plans to attend a celebration at Long Bridge Park.The park is located at 475 Long Bridge Dr.
There is no parking available at the park (see transit options here).
On Saturday, July 4, from 5-10 p.m., the 2015 July 4th Celebration @ Long Bridge Park will be filled with fun games and activities, delicious food, awesome live music and a great view of Washington, DC’s fireworks display.

To ensure a safe and enjoyable festival experience for everyone, the following are not permitted at the event:
- Alcoholic beverages
- Fireworks
- Laser pointers
- Boom boxes
- Grills
Bags, backpacks and other hand-carried items are subject to inspection. Blankets and chairs are welcome. Umbrellas may be brought in, but you may be asked to lower them in concert area to allow all guests access to stage viewing. Food, drink (excluding water) and spiked shoes are not permitted on synthetic turf fields. Please note that shirts and shoes must be worn during the event.

Here’s the music lineup:
5:15 p.m. – DJ Freedom
DJ Freedom is an energetic, versatile and interactive DJ with a complete, all-generations portfolio of music, including Latin & world, ?70s disco & funk, ?80s big hair & pop, reggae, dancehall, Soca, hip hop, rock, country, old & new school, classic, modern and Top 40. From beat-matching with vinyl on turntables to the newest digital technology, DJ Freedom has worked with promoters such as Musa Entertainment, Chris Ramson & Marc Barnes, Mauricio Fraga at Latin Concepts, and others. He has performed at some of DC’s top night spots, including LOVE, The Park at 14th, Ultra, Lima, and FUR, and has provided entertainment at other local establishments, country clubs and at special events.
6:20 p.m. – The Image Band
The Image Band was formed with the purpose of reproducing, propagating and improving the dynamism of the Caribbean musical form. There is no denying that the Image Band has accomplished this and much more. The Image Band is an electrifying group of musicians with harmonious rhythms and dynamic vocals and has shattered all traditional notions of success in the Washington and Baltimore Caribbean Community. The group?s popularity is noted by the busy schedule they maintain yearly. They fulfill regular engagements in numerous U.S. cities on the East Coast, Canada and the Caribbean. In St. Croix Virgin Islands, the group hosts the largest annual New Year?s Eve event. The Image Band was the first group to win the Best Musical Band Award presented by the DC Caribbean Carnival, Inc. and was crowned Brass-O-Rama champions at the Trinidad and Tobago Days in the Park in Baltimore on several occasions. The Washington Post has featured the Image Band on numerous occasions for the Caribbean Fest Live at the Carter Barron Amphitheater. These accomplishments reflect the group’s pursuit of musical excellence and encourage them to continue striving for greater heights. This was quite evident when Image Band was invited to perform for one of the Inaugural Balls for President Bill Clinton and President Barack Obama.
8 p.m. – ForTheWin
ForTheWin is a high-energy party band from the Washington DC area playing a wide variety of Top 40, Pop, Rock, HipHop, Reggae, Oldies, etc for clubs, weddings, festivals, private parties, corporate events and anywhere you need a fun band. Front man, Schwartzy, has performed for years at the biggest clubs & festivals in the DC area and was often heard rapping on the Sports Junkies Radio show. His electric energy, powerful vocals, and rapping skills captivate audiences and never fail to impress. Guitarist / Singer, Tommy Gann, is a veteran in the local music scene who brings a fun dynamic of sweet vocals and amazing guitar playing that gets the party going every time. Bass Player and Drummer, Clay Lord & Bill Ledbetter, were both in a well-known cover band called Road Soda that played large venues, festivals, weddings, etc for many years throughout the DC area (Bill was also the drummer in popular original band called Welbilt). Rounding everything out is Joe Maier on keyboards/piano allowing the band to play a huge variety of songs, mashups, medleys, and everything in between. The chemistry of this line-up and musical variety makes them the ideal choice for any event. Their #1 goal is to make sure their audiences have a great time, sing along, jump, dance and leave with a smile on their face.
