Man Pays For Cellphone, Steals Money Back: Police Report

ARLINGTON, VA — Arlington County Police are investigating two serious recent incidents that took place last weekend, one is robbery by force near Four Mile Run and the other a breaking and entering incident in Fairlington, according to the daily crime report.

On Saturday, around 10:11 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 4900 block of Columbia Pike for the late report of a robbery by force. Upon arrival, they learned that the victim met a known suspect around 8:05 p.m., for a pre-arranged sale of a cellphone. After the the suspect had paid the victim cash for the phone, he threatened the victim, grabbed the phone and payment, and then fled the scene in a silver Honda Civic. According to police, the suspect is described as a white male, about 5-foot-7, weighing 160 pounds.

In the second incident, officers were dispatched Sunday around 3:31 p.m., to the 3400 block of S. Stafford Street, for the late report of breaking and entering. Arriving on the scene, officers learned that unknown suspects had gained entry into the victim's residence and vehicle between about 12 a.m. and 9 a.m., tampered with items and stole items of value.

Both cases remain under investigation.
