Man Sexually Assaults Woman in Her Home Near Clarendon

Police are asking for help in finding a man who broke into a woman's home and attacked her Sunday.

Police are asking for the public's help in finding a man who broke into a house and sexually assaulted a woman near Clarendon.

Police said that just before 5 a.m. on May 15 in the 700 block of N. Edgewood Street, a woman awoke to an unknown man sexually assaulting her. The man fled the scene after the attack and the woman called 911. Police searched the area with dogs with no success, and officers canvassed the area and talked to possible witnesses.

The woman was able to recall that earlier that evening at around 2:30 a.m. when she arrived at the house she saw and unknown man walking away from the rear of the home and getting into a tan-colored four-door sedan. He was wearing a black hooded shell jacket with the hood up, which was similar to what the man who attacked her was wearing.
