Man Shot Victim In Arlington Residential Building: Police
Another person returned fire and shot the suspect during the altercation, officials said. Nobody's injuries were life-threatening.

ARLINGTON, VA — A man shot and wounded a person during an altercation inside an Arlington residential building early New Year's Day, authorities said.
Malachi Rawlings, 21, was charged with aggravated malicious wounding and weapons offenses.
Rawlings opened fire at about 1:10 a.m. Wednesday during an argument with a group in the building's common area on the 1000 block of N. Glebe Road, police said. Another member of the group then shot the suspect.

Nobody's injuries were considered life-threatening.
The victim self-reported to a local hospital.

Police found Rawlings at N. Glebe Road and 11th Street. He was brought to the hospital for a gunshot wound, which also wasn't life-threatening. After getting treated, the Washington, D.C., resident was arrested and charged.
Rawlings was held without bond at the Arlington County Detention Facility as of 1 p.m. Wednesday.
