Juvenile Attacked By Mob As He Tried To Leave Yorktown High Thursday Night
A juvenile leaving Yorktown High on Thursday night was assaulted by a group of other juveniles in the school parking lot.

ARLINGTON, VA — Arlington Public Schools and the Arlington County Police Department are investing a mob assault that occurred Thursday night in the parking lot of Yorktown High School, according to an APS spokesman.
A witness notified a police officer around 9:09 p.m. of an assault that had just occurred in the 5200 block of Yorktown Boulevard, according to the daily crime report. Other officers responded to the scene and located the juvenile victim.
A preliminary investigation revealed that the victim had become involved in an argument with a group of eight or nine other juveniles after exiting the school. He went inside his vehicle, but the group started yelling at him and hitting the vehicle. When the victim got out of the vehicle to confront the group, several of them assaulted him and damaged his phone. They then left the area on foot.

The victim had suffered non-life-threatening injuries and medics treated him at the scene, according to police. No descriptions of the suspects were released.
